New Indoor LBS Book

Kris did some work at OGC in the past few years and I met up with him at the Location Intelligence Conference in April.
OGC President Mark Reichardt wrote the preface, which includes this paragraph:

The organizers already have the papers on the website in PDF and several touch on OGC-related topics.

LandVoyage Offers its Data via WMS
Submitted by Adena Schutzberg on Tue, 2006-04-25 19:25.LandVoyage, a mapping website aimed at real estate and other users, today announced it offers its data stores via WMS. The company, which is actually for sale, until recently required subscribers to use its own proprietary interface to view and query maps and imagery. The release notes that "ESRI ArcView (3.x, 8.x and 9), MapInfo Professional, AutoCAD (Map and Map 3D), Intergraph GeoMedia " can be used as clients, but notes sometimes additional software will be required.
Updated FAO GeoNet Uses OGC Interfaces
Submitted by Adena Schutzberg on Mon, 2006-04-24 12:06.A new version of the the UN Food and Agriculture Organization's spatial data catalogue FAO GeoNet is up an running. The website "provides agricultural information to decision-makers, allowing them to access satellite imagery, interactive maps and spatial databases from FAO, WFP, CGIAR and others" according to a press release.
The site includes a metadata search tool (I believe is uses OGC Catalog Services) as well as an interactive map viewer. The latter supports WMS and ArcIMS servers.
GeoRSS Blog
